Jen Kleiner is a filmmaker and former celebrity fashion stylist who worked with Burberry & Calvin Klein before starting her award-winning coaching and consulting practice called Intuitive Artists. She also runs a boutique production company in Hollywood called Mythic Pictures.
Jen is an MFA graduate of American Film Institute’s Directing Program and an undergraduate of UC-Santa Cruz’s Film and Digital Media Department. She has directed over a dozen short narrative and documentaries as well as brand videos for companies such as Burberry, The Sunglasses Hut, iLuxCars, Zimmerman Swimwear, The Artemis School & Conscious Uncoupling. She was also a semi-finalist in the 2014 and 2016 CineStory Foundation screenwriting competition. Niña Quebrada, her narrative short about sex trafficking, won several awards for best film, best screenplay and best actress on the festival circuit.
Previously, Jen worked in commercial and music video production at Squeak Pictures under producers Pam Tarr & Vicki Mayer. She also worked in Feature Film Development at Master Notions Entertainment for producer Jason Buchtel & former producer turned reporter Glenn Greenwald (The Intercept). There she oversaw post-production for their film SHOWBOY directed by Christian Taylor before becoming the typist for acclaimed writer/director/producer Clive Barker at Seraphim Films, (Hellraiser & Candyman franchise).
In 2005, Jen transitioned into another aspect of the entertainment industry; celebrity fashion PR and styling, where she freelanced under Lauryn Flynn for companies such as Calvin Klein and Burberry for six years until venturing out on her own as a red carpet stylist first for actors such as Robin Wright & Guy Pearce. Her documentary short, “Burberry Girls,” is a behind the scenes look at a day in the life of the celebrity services division of the brand and includes a private fitting with Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad.”
In 2012 Jen was coined “The Luminary Life Coach” by Refinery29.com for her transformative work with the Hollywood Elite. She was also awarded the “Women of Professional Excellence” award from Star Jones at the 2014 National Association of Professional Women conference in New York City.
Jen’s passion for empowering others has led her to complete several trainings in personal empowerment, leadership development, holistic healing, spirituality, psychotherapy & professional life coaching for creatives. The modalities Jen works with include Internal Family Systems Therapy, Imago Therapy, Voice Dialogue, Sedona Method, Conscious Uncoupling, Reconnective Healing, Meisner Technique & Character Mapping.
Currently, Jen is directing and producing a documentary with the Center For Self Leadership about multiplicity in all human beings. Her screenplays “One Big Happy Family” & “Blank” have been optioned by Aaron Magnani Productions (The Last Word) & are scheduled to go into production in 2018.
